Go Gym opened in 2014 and has since become a popular name in the fitness world in Chiang Mai. It is located just off the Super Highway.

The gym features 3 Smiths machines, cardio bikes, gymnast bars, free weights, a kickboxing ring, kick bags, and a dedicated area for martial arts.

It regularly hosts seminars and training events for its members. An onsite cafe offers various protein-rich snacks and drinks you can enjoy after a hardcore workout session.

The good thing about this gym is that it’s open until 11PM. So, even if I finish my work late, I don’t have to worry about skipping my workout.

2. Maxx Professional Fitness

Maxx Professional Fitness is a top premium gym within the MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center in Chiang Mai. It’s the priciest gym in Chiang Mai, by far.

The state-of-the-art gym includes a sauna and nearly every piece of equipment required for an ideal workout.

There are three workout studios inside the gym, each offering a separate schedule of programs.

Maxx gym really feels premium. However, its outrageous cost can be overlooked, given its convenient location and modern facilities.

I actually find myself more motivated to workout here, try all the equipment, and ask for as many assistance as I can from their trainers, simply because I want to ensure I get all my money’s worth.

4. CFCNX Crossfit Chiang Mai

CFCNX CrossFit Chiang Mai opened in 2010 as CrossFit Chiang Mai. It was the first CrossFit affiliate to open in Thailand when only a handful of CrossFit affiliates in Asia existed.

The gym is designed for Thailand’s climate. It has an open-air set-up, with fans for cooling and a translucent canopy to keep off the rain and let in light.

It is trendy among nomads who love to work out. The gym coaches focus on nutrition, strength, and conditioning, which are three essential components of fitness.

5. Magnus Fitness Center

Magnus Fitness Center is among the well-known gyms in Chiang Mai. It has all the necessary equipment to meet international standards.

The gym has professional trainers that can guide you to the program that is best suited for you.

The workout area is very spacious and is regularly cleaned.

Besides air conditioners, the gym provides air purifiers throughout the area during the burning season. Guys, this is very important!

If you’ve ever attended Chiang Mai’s burning season, there’s just awfully thick smog, which makes it difficult to breathe. More so, catch up with your breath when exercising.

The gym offers a wide selection of courses for different levels of members. It has the most diverse activities and the best facilities in Chiang Mai.

However, it is unsuitable for gym lovers on a budget or on a transient visit, as you need a minimum one-year contract to use the services.

If you plan to stay a little longer in Chiang Mai, I highly recommend this gym.

7. O2 Gym Chiang Mai

O2 Gym is located outside the Old Town square, about 500m East of the southeast corner of the square, towards the river.

It offers all the standard amenities and equipment and is among the most reasonably priced gyms in Chiang Mai.

There is little to no wait time to utilize the machines because only a few people frequent the gym.

It has an on-site changing room with locker facilities, but you must get your own padlock. Now, that’s kind of a bummer.

It’s no biggie, though. Just something you should be aware of beforehand.

It has affordable daily rates, making it accessible to many. However, it’s small and can get crowded during peak hours.

So, yes Pump Fitness is an excellent choice if you’re on a tight budget. But, I suggest you come here mid-day between 10AM to 3PM to ensure your spot and avoid the crowd.
